I never needed to do a hair transplant. It has always been an option to consider. A "why not" option that eventually won. The consultation went very well with Shazia who advised me on the several alternatives for my case. As expected, I had to do two surgeries, one for the front and the second for the crown. I had my first surgery at the end of October and, despite many anxieties, it went extremely well. The team, composed of four members, seemed to know by heart every single step of the procedure. The consultant Dr Husnain listened carefully to my ideal style and applied it realistically (well, I was not able to have a Bob Marley style, fair enough!). I felt in very good hands. After the procedure, I had clear instructions on the post-surgery home care, and back home. The first few days after the surgery are the harder ones. A bit of a struggle to sleep, a bit of extra caring for everything and a lot of anxiety. The time eventually passed by and the scalp started to heal. Hair has grown finally at the end of December and ever since they are still growing exponentially. Over the few weeks after the surgery, I have been in touch several times with the team for questions, doubts and fears. Most of the time, just for some anxiety. The team has always been prompt and precise with their support. After my post-surgery first visit, I am going to have the second surgery soon in April. Like in every surgery, three parties play the most important roles for success: the surgeon and their team, your care before and after the surgery, and time. A great good feedback to the clinic and a big thank you to Shazia and the team.
