Dr Wajid Ali Anwar is an esteemed Consultant Plastic, Aesthetic, and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgeon with over 15 years of extensive surgical experience, including more than 8 years of advanced expertise following his MCh (Master of Chirurgiae) in Plastic Surgery. Celebrated for his precision, patient-focused care, and innovative techniques, Dr Anwar is widely recognised for delivering outstanding outcomes in both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures.
He has held the role of Clinical Fellow at the renowned Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester, UK, where he contributes to complex oncological reconstructive surgeries, perioperative care, and multidisciplinary treatment planning. His responsibilities have encompassed patient consultations, informed consent, operative procedures, participation in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, and quality improvement audits.
Dr Anwar’s career has spanned respected institutions across India and Saudi Arabia, where he served in consultant roles at leading hospitals, including King Abdulaziz Hospital. In India, he managed a wide variety of complex cases including trauma, hand and microvascular surgery, aesthetic procedures, and oncoplastic reconstructions. His surgical expertise has been instrumental in restoring form, function, and confidence to thousands of patients.
With a strong interest in aesthetic surgery, Dr Anwar specialises in FUE hair transplants, liposuction, rhinoplasty, and facelifts, alongside his expertise in microvascular surgery, hand surgery, oncoplastic reconstruction, burns management, and cosmetic procedures. He is also highly experienced in hair restoration, having led transplant teams and performed hundreds of successful hair transplant surgeries.
Dr Anwar’s academic background is equally impressive. He holds an MCh in Plastic Surgery from the prestigious Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences, an MS in General Surgery from Gandhi Medical College—where he was the university topper—and an MBBS with distinction from Deccan College of Medical Sciences. He has further enriched his credentials with a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Cosmetology and a Global MBA from Deakin University.
Dr Anwar’s excellence has been recognised through several awards, including the Best Paper Award at PSA AP CON and the Best Outgoing Student Award from NTR University. He was also a recipient of the prestigious Pratibha Scholarship for achieving the highest marks in biology during his early academic years.
